Music out now!

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all that my music is out now

Before we get started, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to always follow him. Ask God to guide us more towards him each day. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Now back to the show

My music is out now

The Lord is good.

Above all else the Lord is good.

What happens is that I was recently working on this song for a while now.

And finally, I was able to mix it and to finish it.

I think it sounds really good as a matter of fact.

It’s called Jesus I love you.

It’s out on Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music right now!

Remember that the Lord is the one who blessed me with the skills needed to produce, mix, write, and sing all of the parts on this song. So praises be to the Lord for providing a way for me.

I hope you all like my music.

Broadcast

I sure hope that I have been an inspiration and a hope to you all. Please remember to pray, read your bible, go to church, and love God above all else. Like, comment, share, subscribe, and I will see you all next time.

The Good Lord Strikes again!

**To my friend who I hurt, rock on superstar

So, about 6 months ago my friend stopped talking to me. At the time I didn’t know why he stopped, he just stopped. Let me tell you why, I offended him! Could you believe that? This is my good friend here! The one that I used to hang out with all the time and write songs with. My music friend who just knows so much! He told me just yesterday that I had offended him! I could not believe what I was hearing. However, when he explained to me what I had said and how I said it, it made sense as to why that would offend someone. However, the good Lord moved my friend into missing me and he missed me enough to call me again and start hanging out with me again. I thank God for this friend, he is such a blessing in my life and I could not believe that I had just offended him. I feel like there are some other aspects as to why I offended him and I wish that he would tell me, but who knows maybe he will one day. Anyways let me tell you what I said, what I meant, and how God was involved the whole time.

Critique

So, my friend and I were jamming out one day and I kept feeling as if though he was looking for critique on his musicality. He did not ask for it, however, the questions felt like they were leading me to say something like that. So I told him a few things, however, I didn’t pay attentions as to what I was saying and how I was saying it. I had an attitude those days and I showed it off to my friend, but I didn’t know that it was really bad. Apparently the way that I was saying things felt like I was a bully.

What I wanted to say

I think my friend’s music is pure fire. I would not say that if it wasn’t true. It’s so professional the music side of things, however, there are some things that he needs to work on. Solid work though, good work.

That’s what I wanted to tell him. Apparently I had hurt him so much, that he went into a depression and he quit music for a while! I am so thankful to God that it did not lead to anything bad. God himself was with my friend throughout the times that I had hurt him.

Moving on

I have been learning the same lesson for all of my life, be careful what you say and how you say it. But it feels like I’m just never done learning it. I can’t promise my friend that I’ll be perfect and not hurt him for the rest of my life, but I hope that my friend will have the confidence and patience that it takes to be my friend. I don’t ever look to hurt him or anyone, and if I do, it’s an accident. I hope that we can get through this and be even stronger bros in the end.

How God was involved

God comforted my friend even though I had hurt him. God comforted my friend enough to get him to call me back again. God helped him out of his depression, God didn’t let my friend spiral out of control. God was always there for him and was guiding him more towards his destiny. I could not thank God enough.             Anyways that’s it for this blog post. I hope that I have been an encouragement and inspiration to you guys. Please pray, read your bible, go to church, and love God above all else. Like, share, comment, and subscribe and I will see you all next time. German Gonzalez, signing out!

How to select the right guitar for the job?

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to give you guys a little insight as to the guitar selection process for each song that you make or record.

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to work hard at all of the things that we do. Ask God to strengthen our hands in our music, our blog, our college, our everything. Ask God to help us to honor him in the work that we do. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Now back to the show

How to select the right guitar for the job?

So it is without a doubt that different guitars do different things.

An acoustic guitar sounds drastically different than an electric guitar, Semi-hollows are used for different genres, Nylon is almost exclusively used for guitar scholars and college performance. (Though it can and has been used for pop music in the past)

And like with many other music aspects, it sometimes takes a little careful consideration as to what to use.

Anyways, let’s talk about these different guitars and when it’s the best time to use them.

Acoustic

I almost exclusively write on an acoustic guitar.

The thing for me with an acoustic guitar is that you can hear the chords being rung out. You can actually hear the notes that are played when you play something on the acoustic guitar.

I’m not saying that you can’t hear the same for an electric, but to me, I can clearly hear a G chord in my head right now on the acoustic guitar.

Whereas on the electric guitar, it’s muffled with distortion and feedback.

I write on an acoustic guitar almost all of my songs.

The rest of the songs that I write out, I write out on a daw with soft chords because to me it’s easier to hear the dissonance and harmony on softer sounding instruments.

I’m not blasting my ears with an electric guitar.

So I personally write songs on an acoustic guitar, but there are other reasons for using an acoustic guitar.

Softer songs require a softer timbre and that’s what the  acoustic guitar has.

There is a saying in the music industry, the emotional songs are the hits.

So obviously if softer songs require a softer timbre, then an acoustic guitar is the way to go.

It makes great for emotional ballads and slow tempoed acoustic gigs.

Besides who wants to be that guy that brings his 50 pound amp and rig to a venue that wants chill music? It’s just not like that.

Electric guitars

Photo by Cristian Benavides on Pexels.com

When you think of rockstars, you think of the electric guitar.

The stereotypical electric guitar is either the Fender Strat or GIbson Les Paul.

Obviously this music world would go nowhere if it wasn’t for some umph in the songs every once in a while.

Imagine a hard driven rock song, the instrument that you primarily hear is the electric guitar.

That fuzz that you hear is called distortion.

Electric guitars were created so that a guitar could amplify it’s sound across a large room or auditorium.

An acoustic guitar on it’s own is just not loud enough to sound off across a large room filled with people.

If you know anything about acoustics, you’ll know that the more people in a large room, the more the sound is absorbed into the clothes and everything else that doesn’t reverberate sound.

Therefore, the electric guitar was born.

The modern electric guitar is so much more advanced than the electric guitars of our forefathers.

Back then, the pickups would literally pick up the acoustic noise that was plucked in an acoustic guitar.

Now, the pickups are so much more advanced,

They actually pickup the noise not from an acoustic sound, but from the body of the electric guitar.

If you ever notice, an acoustic guitar is big and hollow on the inside.

Whereas an electric guitar is smaller and is not hollow.

The reason why the electric guitar is not hollow is because it doesn’t need to be hollow.

The pickups on the electric guitar pickup the noise from the reverberation that happens on the body of the electric guitar which turns into electrical signals into the amplifier and then back out as music.

Woah there, I got lost in what I was trying to get at.

Anyways, Electric guitars can be used for soft rock and rap.

However, to use the electric guitar to it’s full potential, you would want to use some distortion on it and really treat it as a different instrument.

Of course use it as a guitar, but treat the electrical parts as their own, they can do great things.

Remember that guitar is a rhythm instrument so though we like to use it for solos, it’s mainly used to play back up in a song.

Just be creative on how you use it, the 60s players were very innovative in how they used their guitars.

Nylon

Nylon, classical, flamenco, Spanish, whatever you want to call it, it’s all the same thing.

I have heard great guitar players who started on a Spanish guitar.

Tommy Iommi I believe started on a classical guitar, Slash did too.

You can’t ignore the usefulness of a Nylon guitar.

It’s the first version of the guitar.

Well I take that back, the first version of the guitar was a 12 string guitar.

But the first version of the modern day 6 string guitar has to be the Nylon.

Nylon is used in pop music alright, obviously because of it’s soft timbre, it’s used to write soft songs.

But for more aggressive music from a nylon string guitar, you need to look at college performances.

They often times have guitar ensembles that specialize in using the nylon stringed guitar.

As a guitarist, it’s important to draw inspiration from all styles of guitar play.

For a nylon stringed guitar, they will pluck with their fingers as opposed to plucking with a guitar pick on electric or steel stringed acoustic guitars. This is where slash gets his famous hybrid picking technique.

He alternates between using a guitar pick and finger style on the electric guitar.

So it’s important that you research Nylon stringed techniques because they will come handy one day.

Conclusion

In reality,  I could go over about the 12 different variations of guitars that I know but that wouldn’t cover all of the guitars that there are in existence in the world.

So go out there and find your own guitar and just start practicing.

There was a slogan from Guitar Center one year and it said, “All we sell is the best feeling on earth.”

and I was like, “That is absolutely true!” They do sell the best feeling on earth.

More ranting about the music industry

Photo by Thibault Trillet on Pexels.com

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all a rant about the music industry.

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to guide us more towards him each day. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

More ranting about the music industry

I personally think that the music industry is great.

It does a great job at weeding out the people that want to make music a career and those that are serious about it.

The reason why I say that is because I have been in the music game for a while.

And I have met everyone from the up and coming artist to the fresh new dude that got his first guitar.

And it’s great meeting everyone from all walks of life.

But there comes a point where you have to really ask yourself, “Do I really want to make music my career?” And if the answer is yes, then you’ll do everything in your power to make it a reality.

But if you keep going on a thought thinking that maybe engineering is better because it’s more stable, or maybe a teaching degree is better, I’m not saying that those careers are wrong.

And as a matter of fact, they are honorable and respectable careers to pursue,

But if you really want to sit down and buckle down to be a musician, then by all means, suck it up and do it.

I remember I had a few friends in my life who said that they wanted to be musicians.

And I remember how often they lied to me about their music skills.

I would ask them to show me some of their music skills and it’s like they froze up when they tried to do it.

I couldn’t believe it.

I mean like, I know that I’m not an A&R at a major label, but I mean like I’ve already shown you what I can do now show me what you can do.

But that literally means that they are not that good.

Because someone who is really good will almost always have something ready to play at all times.

And don’t get me wrong, I gave them a few chances, but each time they would just freeze up on me.

Anyways, what I’m trying to say is that the music industry does a good job at weeding out those people who are alright and those that are excellent.

If you’re really excellent, then you will go out there and make it a reality.

It’s almost as if though you were born for it.

I will say that in a way you have to be born into it.

Like, it is a gift from God to do music, there is no doubt about that.

But God also listens to prayers.

If you pray about something hard enough, God will answer.

So If you’re out there and you want to make music a career, then I suggest you start praying to God about it.

And don’t stop praying until you get your answers.

How to come up with more blog topics to talk about in your Christian music blog?

Hey guys! Here is a continuation to one of the blog posts that I wrote a while ago.

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to guide our hands to work hard at the things that he has given us. Ask God to strengthen our hands to work hard at all of the projects that he has given to us in our lives. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

More music topics to talk about in your Christian music blog

So what happens is that I was actually going through my own blog.

And I realize that though I talk similarly about different topics, I always find a way to put a spin on the same topic that will make it unique to the different blog posts that I’ve put up.

And what happens is that I thought to myself, that I am more than qualified to talk about how to make different blog topics without regurgitating the same information that’s already out on the internet.

I’m not going to lie, I sometimes see some of my posts that sound the same, but when I open it up, it’s something with different words and different wording and I feel like I am the guy that should talk about this.

With over 1,200 blog posts up on this website and almost none of them have a repeat title, I am very confident with what I have to say about this topic.

Without further ado, let’s talk about it.

Free write, free write, and more free write.

So what happens is that for me, the best way to come up with new ideas on how to write a blog post is by free writing.

I love to free write.

And by free writing, I actually come up with new ideas that I thought that I promise that I could’ve already done.

However, even with this blog post, I can’t stress enough how important it is to free write.

And here is the wisdom that I think will help you to free write.

It’s to just start writing.

Literally don’t over think it, Do not overthink what I’ve just said.

Just start writing about anything and everything.

Whether that’s something that’s related to your blog or not, just by writing about your thoughts will help to develop your blog posts.

It’s the same old concepts that have been said already.

So I could sit here and try and teach you how to reinvent the wheel, but in reality, it’s a simple process that needs practice.

Do you remember all of those brainstorming methods that they taught you back in high school and in middle school, that’s what you have to use in order to come up with new ideas.

you need to come up with your topics using the brainstorming methods that they taught you in school.

I know, you were probably expecting me to say something like, “use google trends to find new topics” or maybe, “dig deep and wait for inspiration to occur so that you can write a new topic.”

That’s all fine and dandy, but if you want to come up with new ideas on your own and not have the help of other people, then you need to use the same methods that they taught you in school.

And if you don ‘t have a good idea as to what those brainstorming methods are, then you can literally just go to google and type in brainstorming methods for writing.

Because as it is in my experience, I have seen that there are different brainstorming methods for different types of jobs.

School sounds dull, but everyone loves what school has to offer

If you master the brainstorming process that was taught in school, then it is without a doubt that you will become the most imaginative and creative writer that there is.

Don’t be scared to fail because failure is what makes the greats from the not so greats.

Pray to God

This is something that I always include in almost all of my blog posts,

I can’t stress enough of how important it is to pray to God about the things in your life.

You need to pray to God for your blog because God is the one who blesses things.

Whether you use the blog to talk about God or just as a way to make some extra side money, Use your blog for the glorification of God some way or another.

So one way or another, Glorify God through your blog.

And you will be golden.

The good news

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to give you the good news that you need.

Here is the good news that you need.

The good news is that God loves you.

God loves you with all his heart and he wants you in heaven.

There is no other way around it.

The good news is that you don’t have to be bound to your sins anymore, the good news is that now you are free if you just believe in Jesus.

The good news is that Jesus came down from heaven as a king and decided to give you his life so that you may live eternally with God.

Jesus was tempted here on earth the same way that man was ever tempted and Jesus was perfect.

All of our imperfections can now be casted upon Jesus and Jesus will take care of us.

Do you want some good news?

The Good news is that now we are free, we can now be with God and live eternally and death does not have control over us anymore.

One day, this earth will end, but on that day, the Lord will take us from this earth and put us in a place where there will be no sin, no sorrow, no pain, and the Bible says that the sun will not burn our skins and the light of the Lord will be the one to illuminate everything.

The Lord is perfect, so trust in him and he will guide you.

How to write a song that will please the Lord?

How to write a song that will please the Lord

To write a song that will please the Lord needs a few things.

Some of which doesn’t require too much technical apittude in music.

Actually all of which don’t require a technical apittude in music.

The Lord never says to get your degrees first and then write songs about me.

The Lord never says become a professional guitarist first and then write songs about me.

No the Lord wants you to give with what you have and if you gave to him with no musical experience, that’s what the Lord wants.

So here are the things that you should use in order to write a song for God

Prayer

The first step in making a song that will worship and honor God is to pray to God for your songs.

Pray to God so that God may put his spirit in your songs and this way the Lord will bless it.

I guess it goes without say, but putting God first in your songs is the first way to honor the Lord. Because honestly there are a lot of musicians out there who make Christian music but they don’t honor the Lord with those songs.

So think of God first before you go out and try and write a song.

Pen and paper

Write down your lyrics on a piece of paper and pen and God will start guiding you towards your destination.

I have without a doubt that if you do the most with the little that you have, then the Lord will be the one in charge of your life.

Don’t even worry about alliteration or rhyme or poetry in your lyrics, just write things that will honor the Lord.

The bible

It goes without say that we need the Bible in order to really understand God.

If we constantly submerse ourselves in the word of God, we will have words to say about God.

We will have words to say about what the Lord has for us.

How the Lord has guided my hands

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all how the Lord has guided me.

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to guide us throughout all of our days. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Now back to the show

How the Lord has guided my hands

So there is a verse in the Bible that actually talks about discerning the will of God in your life.

Romans 12:2 states, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

it says right there to prove.

Why does it say to prove?

It’s because it’s uncertain what is the perfect will of God for your life so therefore, you need to prove to yourself what is the perfect will of God in your life.

So how do you prove it?

1 John 4 verse 1 “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”

Therefore, we need to test the spirits and see which ones are from God.

And the Bible declares many times how each spirit comes from God or not but it also says so right there in those verses, specifically verse 2 of 1 John 4, “Hereby know ye the spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God.”

Therefore, you have to see where the spirit comes from.

But if I’m honest here, I knew the things in life that I was supposed to do all the way at the end of my journey.

Because I kept saying to myself, “If God doesn’t want me to keep writing or keep doing music, or anything, then he will stop me.”

and sure enough, there have been some of my plans that have not worked out, there have been some of the things that I have done that have not worked out.

and yet God was there through it all directing me what to do next and what not to do.

I had plans to get rich off of the stock market, I had plans to get rich off of sales, and yet nothing ever got through.

The only things that have ever gone through in my life have been the things that I have given over to God.

Don’t get me wrong, I have given over sales to God, I have given over different plans to God, but in reality, there are so many things that I wish I could have given over to God that I just never did and I know that if I had given those things over to him, he would’ve blessed it.

Now, I’m starting to give up everything to God and he will bless it.

Because God is real.

So, if you’re ever doing something and you find out that you never finished it, then you know that God didn’t want that as a part of your life.

Rather, he wanted something different for you.

And the things that he helped you to succeed, he has given over to you so that you may glorify him in his kingdom.

There is no shortcut to success

Photo by Alexander Suhorucov on Pexels.com

Hey everyone! So today, I‘m going to share with you all something that you need to know.

Before we get into it, let‘s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to understand him. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

There is no shortcut to success

So what happened is that I was actually looking at some advertisements for an app for guitar lessons.

And I will be honest, the app itself looks pretty handy and interesting.

But it advertises something that I don‘t think is right.

IT says that within one year you can become a professional guitarists (Of course at the bottom it says that actual results may vary)

And that‘s just not true.

I am first hand witness that, that is just not true.

It is impossible to go from absolute beginner musician to professional guitarist within one year.

That‘s not serving justice to all of the other guitarists who spent years perfecting their craft.

And I get it, the companies are playing on peoples emotions of wanting to get really good at guitar really fast.

And there really isn‘t another way around it.

But the fact is that it‘s just not possible to get really good at guitar at an insanely fast speed.

It‘s just not possible.

And I did some pretty amazing things on guitar in my first year.

Actually within 1 year I could already do a really hard and fast metal song from start to finish with solos included.

But that was the only song that I could do completely. I could do parts of other songs but not the entire thing.

And you have no idea how many hours of music I had poured into the guitar.

I‘m talking about 8 hours a day. It was difficult I‘m not going to lie.

But I was patient.

Most people do not have that type of patience or work ethic.

Most people do not have the capacity to put in hours upon hours of music work every day. It‘s just not possible.

But I did, and that‘s a rare occasion.

Do not, and I repeat do not think that you could do the same thing that I did unless you‘re already doing it.

So the lesson in life is be patient and success takes a long period of time.

There are endless ways to glorify God

There are endless ways to glorify God

So what happened is that just recently I was actually looking at hate comments on YouTube towards Christian recording artists and Just Christian artists in general.

And they said the same thing.

I‘m tired of hearing the same thing being repeated for the entire song.

I want to hear something new and exciting.

I get it, you say that you want to hear something new and exciting.

But there‘s a few things wrong with that statement.

The only people that don‘t like your kind of music, are the people that don‘t listen to it

There is a saying in the music industry and it says, the only type of people that don‘t like the your kind of music are the people that don‘t listen to it.

And I completely agree.

It‘s just that music nowadays is meant to be pleasing to the ears.

It is designed to inspire, motivate, encourage, sadden, or animate someone into doing something.

And all music does that.

Not just rock, pop, country, hip-hop, all music does that.

So if you don‘t like a certain type of music, really ask yourself, Do I even listen to this music enough to really judge it?

And if the answer is no, then I‘m sorry but you can‘t judge it and say that it‘s bad or your music is the best.

It‘s the reason why I say that I listen to all types of music.

Well I used to say that, but now I say that I try my best to listen to nothing but Christian music because the Lord needs to be praised.

There are endless ways to glorify God

If you think that Christian music all sounds the same, well then you’re looking at almost all pop music.

All pop music is in essence the same.

They use the same foundations and even a lot of the same tools as previous songs.

They just innovate from the previous one.

and that‘s the exact same way that Christian music does it.

Christian music innovates just the same way that pop and rock does.

But the thing about Christian music is that with Christian music, it‘s not pointless.

With Christian music, you are not doing something in vain pursuit.

You are achieving a goal that will benefit you in the long run.

And the Lord will guide you.

When you write songs for God, you are glorifying the Lord with song which is something that is HOLY.

And that is what we need to chase in our lives.

Be patient

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all a blog post called have patience.

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to guide us more towards him each day. Ask God to give us strength to do the work that we need to do. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Now back to the show

Have patience

So what happens is that I see that this is true in everything.

That the ways of the Lord are perfect and holy and just.

God is the perfection that we seek and the wisdom that we need.

And part of that wisdom is to be patient.

Have you ever heard of the saying that says, “Good things come to those who wait.”

Well it originated in the Bible.

We need to be patient in our work and in our work towards God.

We need to be patient in all of the things that we do.

The Lord is so good to us, that he is willing to give us some of his riches if we are to just wait on him to answer and give us the things that we pray for.

Now, I am first witness to this, Everything that I lay upon God, God uses me and blesses my hands with it.

Everything, no matter the difficult situation that it is.

God blesses my hands with it if I just pray for it.

So I must confess and I must urge you guys that you are to pray your heart away to the Lord for the things in your life.

Praying to God is more important than the actual work that you are about to do.

Because if it does not have the blessing of the Lord upon it, then it is pointless.

I will be honest, I prayed to God to help me to do a lot of things in life, and everything that I gave unto him, He used it for his glory and he blessed my hands with it.

I am so honored to have this blessing of the Lord.

I know that I just need to keep on praying and he will continue to bless.

Personally for me, I found success when I gave up my things to God, I am confident that if you do the same, God will bless your life.

It might not be in the form of money or riches, but it will be a blessing.

And of course if you ever need money, just pray to God for it, and he will deliver.

How to rap by an excellent rapper

Photo by Aleksandr Neplokhov on Pexels.com

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to show you guys how to rap.

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence and pray to God to strengthen our hands to work hard.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us in our music. Ask God to make us excellent musicians. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Now back to the show

How to rap by an excellent rapper?

Rap

The grandaddy of all music

I personally say that the first type of music was rap because the first songs that were written in the bible were just poems recited over a melody on the harp or other stringed instruments.

Anyways, rap is the first music that was ever created.

It’s not to say that it’s better nowadays.

Rap used to be good during the 60s and 70s but then what happened was that there were some terrible times that happened in the Untied States and the whole rap scene changed into thugs and gangsters.

I right now am thinking of old rap songs that never or seldomnly cursed.

And yeah I think that was the golden era of rap.

Anyways, let’s learn how to rap shall we?

What does rap stand for?

The word rap stands for Rhythm And Poetry.

So naturally, it makes sense that we have a rhythmically diverse workflow and a poetic language that should surpass other songwriters.

I would argue that if rappers were to really try hard at a song, they could write such deep songs with deep words and points of view that it would be unmatched like any other songs.

They write so many lyrics on a day to day basis, their practice as songwriters literally defines as songwriters.

So let’s talk about how to create raps with rhythm and poetry.

Rhythm

What is rhythm?

In layman’s term, it’s when to play the notes of the song.

In expert term, it’s a group of notes played in a specific sequence.

Rhythm is deciding how to attack the notes that you are deciding.

And in the instance of rap, you are not selecting pitches, you are just deciding when to say the words.

In reality, you might try and decide on quite a few different rhythms when you first start out writing raps.

But in reality, 8th note and 16th note runs played at a tempo between 80 and 120 bpms is really all you need to rap really good.

It’s really that simple.

You could call that a cheat code.

Don’t get me wrong, you have to use elongated notes every once in a while, but most of the time when people look at rap, they are expecting fast lyrics with passion.

Not slow lyrics with dullness.

They want something that will speak to them lyrically and impactfully.

Poetry

And poetry.

Poetry is the lyrics part of the song.

These are the words that you will be saying

Confused with poetry and rhythm?

You’re probably wondering “German what’s the difference between poetry and rhythm isn’t it the same thing?

No it’s not.

I’ll explain.

Poetry are the words.

And rhythm is deciding when to say those words.

Practice writing poems and dedicating a specific writing time of your day into writing poetry.

And you will be golden.
